Students who have a disability that affects housing needs should apply with the Office of 学生可访问性 to explore reasonable and appropriate accommodations. It is recommended that students be attentive to the deadlines posted by the 住房和居住生活 office for requesting accommodations. Note that housing accommodations are based on availability.

• Fall and Spring Terms: Malibu meal plan accommodations must be approved and in place to be implemented by the end of the third week of the term. If the accommodation is approved after the third week of the term it will be implemented in the following terms.

• 秋天回击者: February 1 – Renewals for currently approved housing accommodations and returning students with new housing accommodation requests must be approved by Office of Student Accessibility and submitted to HRL. The 住房 and Residence Life office in connection with the 学生无障碍办公室 will contact students who have previously been approved for housing accommodations during the spring semester to confirm renewal of accommodations for the upcoming academic school year.
• 春天回击者: November 1 - Students returning from study abroad programs and students returning from fall temporary withdrawals must have accommodation requests approved by Office of 学生可访问性 and submitted to HRL. Students residing on-campus for the fall do not need to resubmit documentation for the spring.

1. Late requests will not be considered until after the housing assignment process is complete.
2. If a student requested reasonable accommodation but turns down the opportunity to live in a space that meets their approved need, the student must participate in the regular housing selection process.

4. Malibu meal plan accommodations can only be made within the first two weeks of the fall and spring semesters. 这个截止日期没有例外。 Any approved requests made after the first two weeks will be implemented the following semester.
5. Meal plan accommodations for IP locations should be discussed with the appropriate program director and OSA prior to application and immediately upon acceptance to the program.
6. 住房 rate for students with accommodations may vary based on housing location and class designation. Students required to live on campus who have a single room accommodation will receive the housing rate of the suite-style houses where the majority of first-year students live or an averaged and blended rate of Seaside and Towers where the majority of second-year students live if they are placed outside of these housing areas. Students required to live on campus who have an apartment kitchen accommodation will receive a housing rate of the Lovernich apartment rate, regardless of placement.
